and manganese ore customer study
MSTC, amongst

e.g. manganese ore needed by various industries and trades in India.
MSTC enters into
a Memorandum of Agreement with the principal regarding the materials to be
supplied to the buyer.
Sale every month of approx. 20 cr. of manganese (both ore
and ferro-manganese taken together) through
web-based auction from domestic sources. Reserve price to be fed
an hour before the start of the auction. Customer mix for this item is
industry/trade and exporters. In case of exporters, they have to submit
their proof of export to principal. MSTC also acts as facilitator for
import of manganese ore and other value added items of manganese ore which
are used as i9nput raw materials for the actual users.
Individual
requirement for such imports may also be indicated by the customers to analyse the viability of such export.
In case of
imports, they have to keep a margin money in order
for MSTC to open LC and while on from offshore destination. MSTC allows the
prospective importers to take delivery of materials on a cash/carry basis
apart from making sales on a high sea sale basis. The study also aims to
know as whether they would like to buy on high sea-sales or on a cash/carry
basis.
The objectives
of carrying out the survey is to find out what is the buyers perception about the quality of service presently being offered by
MSTC and if MSTC imports mn ore, whether the
customer would like MSTC to import
and sale through auction to augment availability and would they prefer
negotiated purchases from foreign suppliers.
Based on these
premises and after making an in depth study as to MSTC's
business processes, the consultant is required to draw up a questionnaire
covering all the aspects of the proposed study which when approved by MSTC
shall have to be proceeded with.
Based on the
feedback of the questionnaire the consultant will be required to formulate
their reports which will meet the objectives of the study.

reference on the quantum of service charges earned by MSTC, since the
answers are obvious. Also to find out if there is any possibility of extending
